HEY FRIENDS! so, i’m running a half marathon in 13 days. i may or may not be freaking out a little bit because that’s 13.1 MILES! but it’s something i’ve been wanting to do for a long time so i’m really excited about it. anyway, i’ve decided to do something and i hope that you all will join me. i’ve selected 13 countries that are close to my heart for different reasons and i’m committing to pray for one country on every day leading up to my race and then every mile of the race as well. the Lord has been teaching me a lot about what disciplined, intentional prayer looks like and i am hoping that this experience will grow me and i would absolutely love it if you join with me in praying for the believers and nonbelievers around the world.
SO! my first country is China. i went on a short mission trip to China in 2009 and was introduced to a country with beautiful people (like the ones in the picture!) with a desperate need for the Gospel. China has a population of over 1 billion people and consists of over 550 people groups, 445 of which are unreached. Buddhism and specific ethnic religions are predominant, but most of the Chinese people are not religious at all. please join me in praying today that Chinese believers and missionaries in China would be faithful messengers of the Gospel and that the Lord would continue to show His faithfulness through the salvation of Chinese souls!
