“I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know I am the Lord your God”
The book of exodus is incredible.
Over and over the Lord declares that He divinely orchestrates circumstances for His glory alone.
He reminds us that He works so “that My wonders may be multiplied” (11:9), “that My name may be proclaimed in all the wrath” (9:16), and “that you may know that I am the Lord” (6:7, 10:2, 14:4).
Oh that we would be reminded daily of the character of our God – lest our sin leads us to selfishly think that anything He does is for our satisfaction or our glory.
He is thirsty for His glory alone. And He is infinitely worthy.
He chooses to use us, weak and unworthy, to display His glory! I am so thankful that this is the God I serve.
