Child. Yes, you are My child. By receiving Me you have received adoption as my child (John 1:12). Yes, and I have chosen you. I have appointed you to go and bear fruit to the world (John 15:16). Not only are you My child, but you are My heir, and a co-heir with My Son, if you share in His sufferings and His glory (Romans 8:17). You are united to Me in Spirit (1 Cor. 6:17), you are an essential part of My body (1 Corinthians 12:27). Child, I have reconciled you to Myself through My Son and I have commissioned you, giving you the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18). I am sending you out as My ambassador, My righteousness.

My child, you are chosen. You are dearly loved, therefore you should reflect Me (Col. 3:12). You are a child of the light, you belong to Me, not to the darkness of this world (1 Thessalonians 5:5). You are a part of a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for My possession to proclaim My name (1 Peter 2:9-10). I lavish you with My love because you are My dearly beloved child (1 John 3:1). My child. Because of this I will keep you and protect you; the evil one cannot harm you (1 John 5:18).

Child, I have called you in righteousness, I will take hold of your hand and guide you every step of the way (Isaiah 42:6). I have called you to this righteous purpose and I will work it all our for good (Romans 8:28). This is My promise to you.

I have anointed you, I have given you My Spirit, so that you can preach the good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, and comfort those who mourn (Isaiah 61). Child, do not fear, for where I have called you I have equipped you with everything good and I will achieve My purpose through you (Hebrews 13:20). In fact, you already are equipped because My divine power has given you everything you need; you get to participate in My divine nature (2 Peter 1:3). How incredible is that?! I will sanctify you through and through (1 Thess. 5:23). I am faithful and I will do these things I have promised.

My child, do you not know how I delight in you? I am enthralled by your beauty (Psalm 149:4). My love for you is unfailing, so you can put your hope and trust in Me and not be afraid. I know you. I know you because it is I who created you. I created your inmost being – every quirk, every thought, every feeling in your heart – I know. And I love you. I knit you together, you were carefully crafted, you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14). Remember that.

I am with you always, My beloved. I take great delight in you, I will quiet you with My love, I will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). Delight yourself in Me, commit your ways to Me, trust in Me, and I will give you the desires of your heart. Why? Because when you delight yourself in Me, your desires will mirror My own (Psalm 37:4).

My child, I know you will struggle. In fact, that you will struggle is guaranteed (Philippians 1:29), but you need only approach My throne of grace with confidence, so that I can shower you with My mercy and grace (Hebrews 4:16). I have promised you that after you have suffered for a little while, in my grace I will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (1 Peter 5:10). I am Jehovah-Shalom, the Lord your Peace. Come to Me and I will guard your heart and mind with My peace, which transcends all understanding (Phil. 4:7). Come to Me and allow My love that surpasses all knowledge to overwhelm you and fill you completely.

Child, let Me fill you and satisfy you completely (Isaiah 58:11). If you have truly died to yourself you will set your mind on Me, set your heart on Me (Col. 3:1-3). Come to Me and find that I am enough. Though your heart and flesh may fail you, I will be the strength of your heart and your portion forever (Psalm 75:26). All you have to do is rely on Me. Trust in Me. Surrender to Me.

And respond. Respond with thanksgiving, eucharisteo. Look into My face, rest, Selah, take the time to pause in My presence daily. And humbly lift your hands in praise – for isn’t that why you were created? To bring glory and honor to My name? Yes, humble yourself before Me. Open your hands and receive My love, My blessings, even what might seem like My curses, your sufferings, and all that you receive from Me turn into thanksgiving and praise, for I am working it all out for your good and My glory (Romans 8:28). Find pleasure in Me. Delight in Me as I delight in you. Be satisfied in Me and let your delight in Me overflow in praise.

Rest in My love. It is perfect. It is unfailing. It is unconditional. It is a love that will not let you go.

And it is enough.
